The Sunset Motel in beautiful Brevard, NC is as proud as a two-headed rooster to be a participating sponsor for the 2012 Pisgah Stage Race, a five-stage mountain bike event for elite athletes and dirt cycling enthusiasts put on by Blue Ridge Adventures!

Registration and the kick-off party are September 17. The race starts with Stage 1 on September 18, and finishes with Stage 5 on September 22 (that is if you’ve got what it takes to make it that far.) After each day of racing, highlights will be shown on a big outdoor projector (popcorn anyone?) on the back lawn of The Sunset along with games, beer, refreshments, beer, crass jokes, beer  and bawdy conversation with beer. It’s BYOBC (Bring your own bean bag chair) Tue-Fri nights.

At the Sunset Motel we are so not afraid of grungy mud-caked bikes. After a hard days ride, give your vehicle a wash at our handy bike wash station complete with brushes, rags and cheap dishwashing liquid! Since all rooms are on the ground level you have the added convenience of bringing your bike into your room (as long as you agree to park it on one of our pretty blue tarps) and you can walk straight into the back yard for the race’s evening highlights show.(Who’s got the disco ball?)
